Citroen catalytic converters run about $25 to $350 for one original unit in 2026. Fapcat Sevel van filters lead at $60 to $350, Jumper units bring $50 to $275, C-Crosser units $75 to $250, Berlingo and C5 units $50 to $200, C3 and DS3 units $40 to $150, and HDi oxidation catalysts $25 to $125.
Built with other people
Citroen shares the PSA reference system with Peugeot, and the Peugeot page explains the TR PSA codes and the FAP particulate filter in detail. Both apply here.
What makes Citroen different is how far the sharing reaches beyond the group. Several of its highest-volume vehicles were built jointly with Fiat, one was a Mitsubishi, and the databases show references running across four marques at once.
So before pricing a Citroen unit, work out which of those families your vehicle belongs to. It changes which page you should be cross-checking against.

Ranges are compiled from published core-buyer code lists, catalyst exchange transaction data and current scrap guides; they are not a live per-code feed. Figures are per unit.
The vans are Fiat co-productions
This is the clearest case, and it is visible in the manufacturer field rather than only in the vehicle list.
Catalyst databases record a converter manufacturer called Fapcat Sevel, named for the long-running Fiat and PSA van venture. Filters from that maker are quoted at roughly 63 to 349 US dollars, which puts them among the better diesel components on this side of the market.
The reference C 983 shows the pattern precisely. It is listed against Peugeot, Fiat and Citroen together, covering a Citroen Jumper 2.2 HDi and a Fiat Ducato, built by Fapcat Sevel, with a high of about 264 US dollars over a recent six-month window. Another Jumper reference covers the Fiat Ducato III 2.2 JTD and the Peugeot Boxer II alongside it.
The same logic runs through the smaller vans. The Jumpy is the Fiat Scudo and Peugeot Expert, and the Berlingo is the Peugeot Partner.
The Nemo reference covers four brands
The small van is worth its own paragraph because the sharing is unusually wide for such a modest vehicle.
One 1.3 diesel reference is catalogued against the Citroen Nemo, Peugeot Bipper, Fiat Fiorino, Fiat Doblo, Fiat Punto Evo and Alfa Romeo MiTo. Six vehicles, four badges, one part.
That is a genuinely useful thing to know when quoting, because the Nemo is a small van most buyers see rarely, while the Fiat Doblo and Punto are everywhere. The reference is already in the buyer’s list.
The C-Crosser is a Mitsubishi
One Citroen sits outside all of this.
The C-Crosser was built on the Mitsubishi Outlander, alongside the Peugeot 4007, and its converter is Mitsubishi hardware rather than PSA. It sits at $75 to $250, above most of the Citroen range, and the Mitsubishi page is the correct comparison rather than anything French.
If you are holding a C-Crosser unit and a buyer quotes it as an ordinary small Citroen, that is worth questioning.
Where DS models go
Citroen spun DS off as a separate marque, and the catalyst trade followed.
Units from the DS3, DS4 and DS5 now appear in buyer databases under DS in their own right rather than under Citroen. The hardware is unchanged, so the figures in the table still apply, but if a buyer cannot find your car under Citroen, ask them to look under DS instead.
Citroen prices around the world
Platinum, palladium and rhodium settle in US dollars, so a Citroen reference holds the same metal value in every market. Currency and local buyer depth are what change. The table converts the Citroen span into each market’s money at today’s rate.

Citroen sells across Europe, North Africa, South America and parts of Asia, with a high diesel share in most of them. Most readers here are pricing diesel hardware rather than the petrol rows.
Before you quote
Four steps that matter more on this brand than most.
Establish which family the vehicle belongs to: PSA, the Fiat van venture, or Mitsubishi. That determines the right comparison.
Find the reference rather than describing the car. Citroen units carry TR PSA codes, and the van units carry their own references such as C 983 alongside the Fapcat Sevel maker name.
Identify the component. A diesel Citroen usually holds an oxidation catalyst at $25 to $125 and a separate particulate filter worth considerably more. One quote for the exhaust normally covers only one of them.
And if the buyer draws a blank on Citroen, offer the Peugeot, Fiat or DS equivalent. On this brand the same part is nearly always listed under another name as well.
Questions people actually ask
How much is a Citroen catalytic converter worth as scrap?
Between roughly $25 and $350 for one original unit in 2026. HDi oxidation catalysts bring $25 to $125, Nemo and C1 units $25 to $100, C3 and DS3 units $40 to $150, Berlingo and C5 units $50 to $200, Jumper units $50 to $275, and Fapcat Sevel van filters $60 to $350.
Are Citroen and Peugeot converters the same?
On most models yes. Both use the TR PSA reference system, and single references routinely cover a Citroen and a Peugeot together, such as the Berlingo with the Partner and the Jumpy with the Expert. Quote the stamped code rather than the badge.
What is Fapcat Sevel?
It is the converter manufacturer name recorded in catalyst databases for units built by the long-running Fiat and PSA van joint venture. Filters from that maker are quoted at roughly $63 to $349, and reference C 983 covering the Citroen Jumper and Fiat Ducato reached about $264 recently.
Which other vehicles share a Citroen Nemo converter?
One 1.3 diesel reference covers the Nemo alongside the Peugeot Bipper, Fiat Fiorino, Fiat Doblo, Fiat Punto Evo and Alfa Romeo MiTo. Six vehicles across four marques, which means the part is far more familiar to buyers than the Nemo itself.
Why is my C-Crosser worth more than other Citroens?
Because it is not really a Citroen underneath. The C-Crosser was built on the Mitsubishi Outlander alongside the Peugeot 4007, so its converter is Mitsubishi hardware at $75 to $250 rather than PSA hardware, and Mitsubishi figures are the right comparison.
Figures on this page are indicative buyer ranges for complete, uncut original units and are not offers to buy. Converter types, codes and selling rules are covered on the main catalytic converter price page.

What is Fapcat Sevel on a Citroen converter?
It is the manufacturer name recorded in catalyst databases for units built by the long-running Fiat and PSA van joint venture. Filters from that maker are quoted at roughly $63 to $349, and reference C 983, covering the Citroen Jumper and Fiat Ducato, reached about $264 recently.
Which other vehicles share a Citroen Nemo catalytic converter?
One 1.3 diesel reference covers the Nemo together with the Peugeot Bipper, Fiat Fiorino, Fiat Doblo, Fiat Punto Evo and Alfa Romeo MiTo. Six vehicles across four marques, so the part is far more familiar to buyers than the Nemo itself.
Why is a Citroen C-Crosser worth more than other Citroens?
Because it is not PSA hardware. The C-Crosser was built on the Mitsubishi Outlander alongside the Peugeot 4007, so its converter sits at $75 to $250 and should be compared against Mitsubishi figures rather than the rest of the Citroen range.
My buyer cannot find my DS3 under Citroen. Why?
Because DS was spun off as a separate marque and catalyst databases followed. DS3, DS4 and DS5 units are now listed under DS in their own right. The hardware is unchanged, so ask the buyer to search under DS instead of Citroen.
